Obituary of Ronald Leroy Allen
Ronald Leroy Allen, 87, of St. Catharines Ontario and more recently Guelph Ontario, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021. ‘Bubba’ leaves behind his wife, Evelyn Allen, sister, Connie Tweedie, children, Susan Archer and Steven Allen and Grandchildren, Mathew Archer, Mitchell Archer, and Fiona Allen. Known to his family and friends as a good, kind, and caring man. Known to those closest to him as the ‘King of Cool’ and ‘Mr. Clean.’ Bubba always showed a quiet strength and could be counted on in times of need. Formally educated in Toronto as an engineer he spent his working life with General Motors in St. Catharines. Bubba loved sailing, skiing, curling, flipping through his Clive Cussler novels, and having a wee dram of scotch. After retirement, Bubba enjoyed spending all the time he could at the family cottage in Sauble Beach. He loved being out in the sun and puttering in the barn. Having a gift for extending a 1 hour job into a day or two he showed us all how to get things done and enjoy yourself and your situation while doing it.
As per Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place, with a private family ceremony to be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, ON. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that this good husband, good father, good friend, and good man be remembered while enjoying a wee dram.
Slainte Mhath Bubba.
