Obituary of Nancy Ewer
Ewer, Nancy (nee York)
Surrounded by her loving family, Nancy passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, February 22nd, 2021, in her 81st year. Devoted wife and best friend of almost 60 years to Bob. Loving and caring mother of Karen (Tim Bisci) and William (Alexis Bruyns). Cherished Nana and Grandma to Quinn, Reese, Sydney, Kylie, Addison and Seth. Nancy is also survived by her sister Marilyn and nephew Jim. Predeceased by her parents Alma and Clarence (Short) and her daughter-in-law Lisa.
Nancy was kind, thoughtful and generous to all that knew her. She was an avid fan of sports and could always be found watching her grandchildren’s many games and activities, something she loved to do. Nancy also had a passion for knitting, always finding time to make her grandchildren a new sweater or hat. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she was an enormous part of their lives. She worked at her family business York Electro Plating for most of her life, up until last year.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her, with a special thank you to Dr. Lee and the staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, as well as nurse Melissa for the wonderful home care.
