Obituary of Adam Roman Jan Komar
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet boy, Adam. Adam Roman Jan Komar passed away on February 1, 2021, in Beamsville, Ontario. He was born on March 12, 2016, to parents who adored him, Michael and Margaret (nee Aanen) Komar. He was the greatest big brother to his little brother Daniel.
Adam’s time on earth may have been short, but he wasted none of it and achieved many great things.
Adam was an avid gardener. He would proudly take visitors through his vegetable garden and tell them what all the plants were and what he did to help take great care of them. Among his favorites were the snap peas and red peppers.
Adam was a pastry chef. Alongside his sous chef, Mom, he would bake muffins, cookies, and even macarons to share with friends and family.
Adam was a video game master. Under the wings of his dad, Adam quickly learned that by joining forces with his dad and by working together, they could conquer anything.
Adam was a space explorer. Obsessed with the solar system, he would constantly educate his parents on the elements that made up certain gas planets.
Adam was a scholar. He asked ALL the questions and needed to learn about everything. He had a thirsty mind that could not be quenched. Mom and Dad were not the least bit surprised by how much he thrived at school when he started Kindergarten this past September.
Adam was a teacher. He patiently taught his little brother the lessons of how to be a sweet, mischievous little boy.
Other great achievements include being able to climb the rope structure at the local park faster than any other kid, his excellent ninja moves, and being a good and caring friend to everyone around him.
Adam will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Michael and Margaret, his little brother and sidekick, Daniel, his grandparents, Pieter and Theresa Aanen and George and Mary Ellen Komar, his great-grandmother, Grietje Aanen Vorenholt, and his great-grandfather and namesake, Jan DeJager.
Adam will also be forever remembered by his aunts, uncles, and cousins: John and Carly Aanen (Marshall, Bryson, and Arabella), Michael and Maria Aanen, Rebekah Aanen, Tim Aanen, Justin Aanen, Chris Komar, and Johanna Komar. Adam will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends, and by his community.
Adam brought so much joy into this life. Viewing the world through his eyes showed those around him just how beautiful and awesome life is. He will be truly and deeply missed.
So little dude, now we have to say goodnight. We love you. Thank you for bringing joy into our lives and lighting up our hearts. Enjoy heaven and keep asking "why?" God will have all the answers.
