Legault, Rene Denis 1931 - 2021
Passed away on February 2, 2021 at St. Catharines General Hospital, in his 90th year. Loving husband of Vicki (predeceased). Dear father of Suzanne (Bruce) of Virgil, Richard (predeceased) of Calgary, Valerie (Mark) of Wainfleet, Larry of St. Catharines, Ann-Marie of Timmons Ont, Steven (predeceased), Kimberly (Rae) and Donald, both of St. Catharines. Loving Papa of 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren . Rene is predeceased by his brothers Leidgere, Ubald, Armand and Alec and sisters Simmone and Germaine. Rene will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Legault was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He worked many years as an electrician providing for his much-loved family. In later years he enjoyed spending his time with his family and loved ones. He also loved watching his Blue Jays, and enjoying his maple dipped donuts. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, as well as Canadian Diabetes Foundation are greatly appreciated. Visitation for Rene Legault will be held at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday February 4, 2021 at 3:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Guest must call the funeral home to book a visitation appointment before arriving. Rene’s family will have a private funeral service at the funeral chapel on Friday February 5, 2021 followed by the rite of committal at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation and funeral attendance is limited to 30% building capacity. All family and guests attending the visitation or funeral must wear a mask. Maximum number of visitors in the building is 10. Family and guests must call the funeral home to book a visitation appointment time 905 937 4444. Family and guests will be seated at social distancing requirements of 2 meters upon entering the Ceremony Room. Cemetery attendance is limited to a pre arranged family request.
