Jennie (Balanowski) Olszewski

May 31, 1932 - January 26, 2021.  Heaven gained an angel with the passing of our beloved Mom and Omie, Jennie Olszewski.  We can imagine dad extending his hand to mom and welcoming her to heaven.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Olszewski (2005).  Loving mother to Annie, Eugene (Chris) and Steve (Heather).  Loving Omie to Mark (Kyla), Jonathon, Jasmine and Sarah.  Great grandmother to Taylor, Jordyn, Evan, Hunter and Logan.  Predeceased by her parents Eugene and Anna Balanowski.  Dear sister of the late Mary and Joe Wozniak and late Stephen (Anna) Balanowski.  Jennie will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.  

Devoted to prayer and faith, Jennie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  Above all, Jennie's greatest love was her family and her biggest joy was being Omie to her grandchildren.  A beautiful lady, Jennie was always ready with a warm welcome and smile.  She had the best sense of humour and gave the best hugs on the planet.  Her talent as a florist was seen in her beautiful flower arrangements, while her love of gardening created stunning gardens that were a source of great pride and joy.  Chasing squirrels kept her fit and busy.  Mom was the best cook in town.  We will miss her cabbage rolls and baking, especially at Christmas.     

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Heidehof Home for the Aged who took great care of mom and treated her like family.  If so desired, donations to Crohn's and Colitis Canada would be appreciated by the family.
