So sad to hear of the passing of your mummy/grandmother. Aunt June and our mummy, Dorothy, were such close friends. She was always so happy and playful. Our heartfelt sorrow goes out to you all.

We are really saddened by her passing. She is at peace now and with uncle Johnny.
My memory of Auntie Junie was when I was confirmed. She was my godmother. I remember that day well. Since then we had outings with the whole family on a somewhat regular basis. I remember well those times and how much I enjoyed them. I also remember Uncle Johnny and Auntie Junie introduced my parents to the orphanage and we used to go there at least twice a year. I remember esp. the Xmas ones because to this day, I still consider those visits the best of Xmas celebrations. Since she came to Canada, I saw her sporadically, only when she came to Vancouver. She used to tell me she enjoyed my letters to her and encouraged me to write her more.
I will always cherish the memories of her when I was very young and her visits here in Vancouver.
Love from Bernie, Mario, Kim and Annette

June helped a young Patrick buy a car soon after she moved to Canada. He needed to pay cash but was not able to escort his mother to the bank so he asked me. At the teller counter the clerk looked at June and looked at me as June requested $10,000. cash. The teller asked her if everything was OK. June, being such a trusting and innocent person, didn't understand what the teller was asking. She finally clued in that the teller was asking her whether I was robbing her. She was shocked that someone would think I was a thief. In her mind, I was like a son to her and would not steal from her.
It was years between our visits. Even so, she would embrace me with great love and attention.
In recent years I drove her grandson Michael to St. Catherines to visit her in the nursing home. On one occasion I brought a new woman for a drive/date. June was such a character as she flirted with my date. Teasing me that I must be afraid she was going to steal the woman away from me. That too was June. Joking and teasing. Sometimes causing me to blush.
She often asked me to watch out for her son, my friend Patrick. She knew I would care for Patrick and offer the guidance a big brother often does. There is nobody else who has ever been able to draw my laughter like Patrick does so effortlessly. We remain like brothers.

Fond memories, forever in our hearts and minds, of Mrs Linennen back in the Hong Kong, Sacred Heart & SFCC days, especially days out with our families together.
Thank you for the happy memories over the years, including our last catch-up phone call in Canada. Rest in peace and have a good reunion with our late parents.
Sending our love and remembrance to Ann, Kay, Patrick & their families through this tough time. Our most sincere condolences.

My dear Ann, Kay and Patrick, my sincere condolences at the death of your beloved Mother, Therese, a dear friend of mine for so many years, ever since you were little. When you were children, she shared with me her concerns about your growth and studies. When your dear Father passed away, it was my privilege to be her confidante and to share her fears and tears at her great loss of the one upon whom she had depended so much all her life. When she moved to Canada and lived all by herself, she was most edifying for the great faith and courage with which she bore her loneliness, not just pining away centred on herself, but reaching out to her neighbours and those in need who appreciated her attention and care for them. She would relate to me triumphantly how she grew to become more independent, overcoming her fears and learning to do this or that thing on her own, when necessity called for it!
You children were her pride and joy, the centre of her life. Her happiness was most evident when she had the chance to travel and to visit you and your families in Canada or abroad. Whenever she visited Hong Kong, she never missed the chance of paying me a visit in the convent, where we would sit and share so much news, laughter and even some tears at times! Your Mommy was a real lady, a great woman of faith and moral courage, who could bear her sufferings in silence and with peace of heart, never wanting to be a “burden” to her children. I am sure that you will always remember all the sacrifices she made for the family, her teachings and good examples, and you are now living out these Christian values and passing them on to your children and your children’s children! This would be the true fulfillment of her goal in life.
I treasure the memory of your dear Mother and will continue to pray for the repose of her soul, as I look forward to meeting her again in Heaven, and to share with her, this time for all eternity, so much joy and laughter right there, in the presence of the Heavenly Father!
I pray also for each one of you and your families, that the Lord may give you comfort and courage to face each new day and each difficulty in life with the same love and trust in the Lord and His blessed Mother as your dear Mother had. May the Lord Jesus and His holy Mother bless each and every one of you! Please remember to pray for me too!
Best wishes and blessings, Sr. Marie Remedios, Canossian Sister

Ann, Kay & Patrick, May your Mom Rest In Peace. Recently, we were talking about her & Margie. Knowing your Mom, she probably told you about how she knew our whole family without meeting us through the letters of our Mothers wrote each other. When ever the postman delivered the mail we could identify your Mom’s letter. Her penmanship was unique that I still remember how it was like “calligraphy”. Unlike today with technology that penmanship is a “lost art”! Over the years we got to know your family & little did we know that both families would migrate to Canada and live within driving distance from each other. It was like “in the movies “. I recall surprising your Mom with a visit when Nelson & I visited Pelee Point. Of course, she had us spend a night with her. Ever so often, we would reminisce about when our families visited each other. There are many wonderful memories. Remember all the good years you had with your Mom. I will pray that her “Soul Rest In Peace” and will offer up a Mass for the repose of her Soul. May you all be comforted knowing that she is looking down lovingly on each of you & her grandchildren.
Grace, Nelson & Family

Dear Ann, Kay, Patrick and families. It was a privilege to take care of your Mom. Everyone loved her. She was so sweet and funny. Her nick name for me was the singing canary and everytime I told her it would be my day off she would say"Again". June has left an imprint on my heart and I will always love and remember her. RIP June, Fly High with the Angel's.
