Our deepest condolences to Trudy, Irma and family.
The Montel’s were one of my parents, the Keller’s first friends upon moving to St. Catharines. They had good times partying at Club Heidelberg and Tasi and Tilli remained friends. She was also a good travelling companion with Rosita, my mother in law.
She will be missed and never forgotten.
Sending sympathies,
Monika, Alex Lakatos

Irma, Paul, Trudy, Kevin, and family, "My family's sincere condolences"
Annastasia, "Tasi", had incredible energy, conviction, strength of will, and intelligence. For me, Tasi was also the last and closest living link I had left to my Nanna, and their St. Catharines sisters, Johanna, and Gisela. It's really sad, Tasi, and they are gone, but we are very thankful that we shared the time with them that we did. I remember giving Tsai a hug and saying, "Thank you, that's the closest I can get now to hugging my Nanna". In addition, it's been said Tasi had many qualities that resembled that of her father, a capable manager, and leader. So I have also thought that Tasi was a link to understanding who our great grandfather was too.
I also remember not that long ago dancing with Tasi at the Club Heidelberg. I couldn't believe how someone well into her senior years could be in such strong physical conditioning. Her dancing was very much like her personality, sure and confident. Trudy, you were an accomplished track athlete at our high school. I can guess who you inherited your athleticism from, and likewise, Irma, your mind for entrepreneurship.
My children fondly remember when they would complete their folk dancing performances at Club Heidelberg, Tasi would wave to them and then give them chocolates. And always willing to answer questions they had about our shared family history or about her life experience; something she was very proud of. She had every right to be proud of too.
When I think of what she, her sisters, and family overcame during and after the war, and then accomplished in her lifetime, it should give us a better perspective on what we think currently are difficult times, and what we can now make of life after.
My family offers you our sincere condolences,
Joel and Portia Steiger

Irma & Trudy,
My sincere condolences to you and the rest of the family on the loss of your mom. She was an incredible lady with lots of character and a proud Schmidt. Although I had not seen in for many years anytime I did see her she was always welcoming and very happy that I tried to stay connected to our German heritage and the family history.
My thoughts and prayers to all of you on behalf of my mom, my brothers and myself.

Irma, Trudy and family, we wish to send our deepest sorrow for your loss.
Anastasia was the kindest, most helpful and most caring lady we have ever known. She never hesitated to welcome one with open arms. She had a special strength that anyone would wish to have. If you had the opportunity to listen to her amazing life story, you could see how that strength evolved.
Michael loved her dearly and will miss her beyond what words can say. He will always remember the years of dancing and all the daily conversations of nothing and everything. “The simplicity of love and life”
We were very lucky that Anastasia allowed us to be part of her life. She will always be remembered.
It is with our deepest regret that we have to say goodbye.
Michael, Donna, Charles and the Champagne family.
