Obituary of Peter John Kowalchuk
Peter Kowalchuk September 18th, 1926 -January 9th 2021
Kowalchuk, Peter – Peacefully passed away on Saturday January 9th, 2021 at the greater Niagara Hospital at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife, Alexandra “Lassie” Kowalchuk. Peter worked at General Motors in St. Catharines for 29 years as a carpenter and retired in 1991. He is remembered for his remarkable building and wood working skills and his love for walks in nature. Peter is the cherished father of Kevin (Floriana), David and Bryan (Charmaine). He will be missed by his 7 grandchildren Chantel, Kira, Eric, Kelsey, Cole, Cristian and Caiden, and by his surviving sister Elsie, his nieces, nephews, and his friends. Peter was comforted in his later years by his dog Gizmo, who was always by his side offering him the unconditional love of a treasured pet. A private memorial service will be held on Saturday January 16, 2021 at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.
