Michael was called to his “Great Gig in the Sky”. After a short but fulfilled life devoted to the love of his family, long lasting friendships, and his passion of composing and playing music, Michael has been granted the eternal peace and rewards he deserves. He won't be seen buying a Stairway to Heaven, for he built his, step-by-step, through all of the good deeds he performed daily.
His sudden passing leaves a devastating hole in the hearts of his parents, Dennis and Shannon, his "big sisters", Leah and Rhiannon, and his brother Christopher. Michael was an incredible son and brother to us, and the first to 'Welcome you to the Family'. He was an honest, loyal, trustworthy and unconditionally caring best friend to us all. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his Nana (Vera Bradley) , his Aunts and Uncles, his cousins, and his nephew and nieces. He will also be greatly missed by his “chosen brother” Dalton Brown, best friend Joe Towers, his girlfriend Trinity Petrak, and by so many more friends and family who loved him deeply. "Mikey Man" was a passionate, strong, humorous and abundantly affectionate young man, who shared his love, joys and compassions with many. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and had a way of always making each individual feel special. If "...all you touch and all you see, is all your life will ever be", then there is no doubt that our Michael filled his life with greatness. Michael’s bright spirit, wisdom and gentle soul will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. He leaves us with many gifts and special memories that will forever be cherished. We are so proud of Michael, feeling truly honoured and blessed to share his time in this world with him.
Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, January 11, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. Cremation will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced on the funeral home’s website. Memorial donations may be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network or The Hope Centre- Welland.
