Sending my condolences to the family. I feel fortunate that I met Diane such an amazing and strong women and got to care for her. She used to tell me when she goes to the Heaven she wants to pig out. Rest In Peace...

I’m so sad to see you have gone, but at the same time your fight and suffering are now over. And what a fight you had! Your so strong. You always have been. I’m so happy I got to know you better in the last years. We have had many great visits while you lived in fort Erie. I only wish I could of seen you more in the end, but with two kids and no car it just wasn’t possible :(.
I’ll always remember our summers in matatchewan and our many christmases together. The music and dancing (and lots of smoke) in the basement of the home where you and papa shared for many years. I’ll always remember the smell, it was like home, me and my brother used to talk about it how distinct it was.
When you first started coming south for doctor appointments I was battling a disease of my own, but we had many good conversations and you were so good at listening. You were always good company esp a good smoke buddy lol (we smoked every five mins haha) but mostly I realized how much wisdom and intelligence you had. I loved talking to you, you always had interesting stories about everyone in the family and you just knew a lot of stuff. I will miss you so much and I’m glad you got to meet genny ! I know you were holding on for that.
I hope you are with papa up in heaven I love you so much nana xxx

Diane, thank you so much for the wisdom and counsel you provided to me about 30 years ago. Your advice really stuck with me and changed my life. You were a wonderful mother, not only to your own children but any other kid who needed you. You were so excited to see me a few years ago in Matachewan and we had a wonderful visit at the legion spaghetti dinner. I will miss your comments on my Facebook posts. Although sad you are gone I am glad you are free of that horrible illness. Fly free my friend.
