THE SCAPILLATI FAMILY posted a condolence
Thank-you for being here to celebrate Mother's life. To-day we pay our Respect and Ultimate Gratitude to a person that Gave So Much of Her Life to her Children. Mother led us down the road to Victory on many occasions.
I want to thank my sisters and brothers and everyone else that provided assistance with their volunteer time to Mom. Greatly Appreciated!! To-day we feel emotions of sadness and joy, we will be serious and happy, we will cry and smile. Mother would want you to smile as she did her best and led by example. Mom was the perfect role model for anyone to follow. Smile, as Mother always smiled. We all had the pleasure of her Motherly Love and we all had the opportunity to meet one of the sweetest, most natural and caring persons.
MOTHER LOVED ALL HER CHILDREN EQUALLY. Mom said many times ....."I HAVE NO FAVOURITES, I LOVE YOU ALL EQUALLY"!!
Mother led us with LOTS OF LOVE, EXTRAORDINARY COURAGE, Honesty, Integrity, KIND WORDS and BRAVERY and provided the direction with words of wisdom for us to believe in ourselves.
SHE LIVED LIFE TO THE FULLEST! Mother was full of laughter, quick with wit and enjoyed people. She was Glad that you came to visit her, and Happy that you were leaving!!!!!!!
Mother was a very proud person that gave it her best all the time and even to-day we all have a little bit of her in our own lives and we can pass that on to another generation.
Most People follow leaders, MOTHER was the leader of our Family!
She did it quietly and spoke softly. She always had advice if you asked, she was not the type to butt into your life. Mother never jumped into anyone's married life to sort things out. If you asked for guidance, as a person you will remember what she told you.
All of us experienced challenges in our family and Mother led us in the right direction with hope, vision and love.
Mother understood the politics of business and promotion and knew that you had to believe in yourself to get ahead.
Here are a few of Mom's favourite beliefs and encouragements .............
"NEVER GIVE UP"
"DO THE BEST THAT YOU CAN"
"GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT"
"ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS....READ AND YOU WILL LEARN"
"BRING ME SOME GOOD NEWS!!!!"
"YOU WILL SEE BUMPS IN THE ROAD, LEARN TO DEAL WITH IT"
and this one ...............
"Jump in the air, kick your heels together and say .... I'm the luckiest person in the world". Mom suggested that everyone should do this once or twice in their lifetime. Not recommended if your expecting!

Cathy could not be here to-day but has many great memories and always told me " Your Mother is an Angel". A lot of people felt that way.
Mother had that unforgettable smile that made you feel so wonderful right to the end of her Beautiful Life! She was a charming person with a twinkle in her eyes. Mom loved life..... All the time.
Let's celebrate the fact that Dorothy enjoyed her own life!!!! She lived a simple life, not flashy, humble and filled with Love. Mother looked at life a lot different than most people. She was strong but soft, Beautiful inside her big heart, attractive and classy and it made her comfortable if you told her so. Mother was surrounded by Love from her children.
HUMOUR................Mother loved the Queen of England but admitted that even the Queen was a slight bit dysfunctional. Mom loved the Blue Jays, chocolates and flowers and even the movie the Blues Brothers! Saw it twice - two years ago.
Mother encouraged us all the way, all the time and was always cheering for us. Mother loved life (pause)
