Obituary of Roy Wrighton

Wrighton, Rudolph Roderick "Roy"  (July 11, 1942 - November 28, 2020)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rudolph "Roy" Wrighton announce his passing at the Henley House on November 28 2020 at the age of 78. Loving husband to Helen. Devoted father to Mervin, Partick, Brian (Brandy), Lincoln, Earlin, Jeannine, Stacy, Brendon, Dana and Jade. Cherished grandfather to Madison, Carmyn, Laura, Paiton, Ryleigh, Brynn, Elijah, Jeal, Shania, Odessa, Jeaniah and 13 others. Beloved Uncle to Jacqueline. Son in law to Rita Payne. Brother in law to Michael, Bernard, Erica, Jenny, Heather, Marcia, Maureen and Cheryl.

Roy is survived by his 2 brothers, Stanley and Jerry and his 2 sisters, Cynthia and Utrice. He is predeceased by his sisters Hilda and Theolinda. 

Roy will be remembered as a fun loving, outgoing social butterfly. For his entire life he worked as a welder. It started in Aruba were he learned and developed this trade. His skills took him to Holland, Germany, and Canada. He's worked right across the provinces. He was fluent in Dutch, German, Spanish and Papiamento. 

Roy will be forever remembered by those who knew him but especially his close friends.

Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street St. Catharines ON from 10AM-12PM on Tuesday December 1, 2020 with a funeral service in the ceremony room to follow the visitation.

As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation is limited to 30% building capacity. Funeral attendance is limited to 65 guests. All guests attending the visitation or funeral must bring a mask and must call in to make an appointment. (905)-937-4444.
