Peggy MacKiddie (nee Chafe)
It is with great sadness the family announces Peggy’s sudden death at home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the age of 69. Loving mother of Cameron (Sherry) and Megan. Proud grandma to Mason, Jaxon, and Willow. Much loved sister to Betty Chafe, Pauline Chafe, Geraldine Stevenson, Fran Stevenson, Elizabeth Stevenson, Patrick Chafe, Bernard Chafe, Ronald Chafe, Michael Stevenson and Paul Stevenson. Peggy is now reunited with her parents Margaret Murphy, Cyril Chafe, and siblings Edward Chafe, John Chafe, Brian Chafe, George Chafe, Cyril Jr. Chafe, Frank Chafe, Mary Chafe, Joan Stevenson, James Stevenson, and Catherine Stevenson. Peggy will be fondly missed by her former husband Jeff MacKiddie and her 75 nieces and nephews.
Peggy will be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren. Her spirit and memory will live on through them.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Peggy’s close friend Lisa Welke for her care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, December 2 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. A funeral service for Peggy will follow in the funeral home ceremony room at 12 p.m. Cremation to follow the service.
As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation is limited to 30% building capacity. Funeral attendance is limited to 65 guests. All guests attending the visitation or funeral must bring a mask and must call in to make an appointment. (905)-937-4444.
