I was the administrative assistant at St. Michael's Parish, Waterloo, Ontario when Fr. Lawrence was living in residence while doing his Doctorate at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo (WLU)
The first picture was when I picked him up from the local airport after he was away on a speaking engagement.
WLU is located right across the street from St. Michael's. I walked over to watch him convocate. The first is him processing into convocation, the second is him receiving his stole.

The late Reverend Father Lawrence Martis was in residence at Saint Michael Roman Catholic Parish, Waterloo in the early 2010's assisting during his studies at the parish.
Our family got to know him over family dinners typically after Saturday evening mass. He always was a great mentor to me as I was new to the parish and helped a great deal in my being introduced to the parishioners. In addition, we always journeyed together bringing the sacrament of healing for the requesting parishioners.
On the 1st Sunday of Advent in 2011 the Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, Bishop of Hamilton presided over the Mass concelebrated by Very Reverend Father Cornelius O'Mahony, Pastor, Reverend Fathers Lawrence Martis and Edward (Ted) Hughes. The Diaconate community of the Diocese of Hamilton were in attendance. This was when the General Instruction of the Roman Missal Third Edition came into effect in the diocese.
In August, 2012 Father Lawrence concelebrated the memorial mass for my deceased parents (Philip Joseph and Olivia Fernandez) followed by lunch served at Saint Michael Parish Center. He mixed with all of my extended family, most had origins in Goa and Mangalore (South India).
In the attached picture right to left is the Pastor, Very Reverend Cornelius O'Mahony, Reverend Father Lawrence Martis, Most Reverend Bishop Douglas Crosby, O.M.I. (in chasuble), Reverend Father Edward (Ted) Hughes, Deacon Philip Fernandez (in dalmatic).
We pray:
Lord God,
you choose our brother Reverend Father Lawrence Martis to serve your people as priest, and to share the joy and burdens of their lives.
Look with mercy on him and give him the reward of his labours, the fullness of life promised to those who preach your holy Gospel.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12)
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)

I have just posted pictures of Fr. Lawrence while he lived in Waterloo. I have a video of him at his convocation that I cannot post here but I would love for you and your family to see it.
Fr. Lawrence was such a humble man. He was so faith filled and he shared his faith with others so freely. He was kind. I feel so blessed that I was able to reap the benefits of his time at St. Michael and in Toronto. He is missed.

We the parishioners of the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria were very blessed to have been ministered to by dear Father Lawrence. He was an outstanding Confessor and a very worthy homilist. Despite his constant suffering in the past few years, his sermons were only positive, encouraging and guiding.
We offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to Father's dear mother, siblings and family with prayers and comfort in your grief.
Rest in peace, good and faithful Servant of God.
