Dear Silvia and your whole family
I just came across this Funeral Mass for Olga your mom. I live in England and was happy to be able to celebrate Mass with you all. I have so many beautiufl memories of your mother- and of course your dad too. ..and your little brother Marci!
She was a gentle and sweet lady....and was always so kind to the Erwin family! A wonderful neighbour to us all.....
I have been in this Benedictine monastery for 40 years now! I love to see the Mass from St. Mary's- Such a beautiful Church. I feel united to you all during this Mass- I shall keep your mom in my special prayer - and rejoice in her life- May the Lord console you all and keep you safe during this covid time! You can look up my community on our web site www.minsterabbeynuns.org
Our address is there too and I would love to hear from you. With special prayers and love from the Erwin family
Barbara Erwin ( Sr.Aelred Erwin OSB)
May Olga rest in Peace and Rise in Glory!

To Sylvia and Marci and all of the Grossutti family, prayers and wishes for the consolation of memories of many good years with this special woman. St. Mary’s Church without Olga has not been the same. How I miss her constant presence at mass and her excellent organization of the kitchen at church dinners. She kept relative newbies like me on track there and I was grateful. She always made corrections with love, “Hi honey.” I also learned a lot about Italy during the Second World War from your mom. Such strength in one so tiny was an inspiration for me. God’s blessings to all of you.

Olga was a special lady and I am so happy I was privileged to know her. As a Club Furlan member she showed us what it is like to be proud of our heritage and I really enjoyed chatting and watching her cook up our traditional Polenta every summer at our picnics. We will miss your beautiful smile and your inspiring ways. Mandi Olga

As a volunteer at Chez Marie I came to know the amazing Olga. She shared her stories of her family, her Italian heritage and her love for Canada all the while working tirelessly for the newcomers at Chez Marie, her beloved St. Mary's Church and for her community.
She was truly the light of my life every Monday at Chez Marie and the inspiration for all who met her.

My heart is with the whole family of this remarkable woman. My memories of Olga on Churchill Street are cherished. "Tiny but mighty," wise, passionate, with an intuitive ability to heal, Olga was a Queen among women.
My everlasting snapshot image of Olga is the twinkle in her eyes ....always!

Our family was so very sorry to hear about the passing of Olga, a truly remarkable lady. From my earliest memories, all of the extended Forgeron family in “Western Hill” shared many close times with the Grossutti family members over the years. I myself, went to school and played on many sports teams with Marcy before both going off on our separate parhs after university.
Olga was the rock of the family throughout life in so many ways. When I returned to raise my family in St. Catharines Olga was a quiet but inspirational leader at St. Mary’s Parish, with the CWL, as well as at Chez Marie where she took on such important, caring work to help new Canadians. She was always so kind to me, had a big smile and called me “Darling” in that sweet Italian/French accent. I will never forget this wonderful lady and her family.
With love and prayers...
