Oh Mamma MacDonald. You were my 2nd mom while I was an university. Feeding me, letting me sleep over, letting me hang out with your daughter. I loved our talks and hanging out with you. And boy did I ever love your mashed potatoes. I actually think of you and Kim every time I make mine. I'm so lucky to have known you. You loved your family as fiercely as my mom loved hers. Rest in peace. Say hi to mom if you see her. xo

Charleen and Vincent Avedesian are sending heartfelt condolences to Marilyn's family. We have enjoyed her company many times over the years. Whether it was at school, at parties, at luncheons, or at bridge games, Marilyn was always interesting to be with because she told stories or jokes to make you laugh. As a member of RTO and RWTO, Marilyn had many contacts and we pray for those who will miss her most. May God Bless all.

I was lucky enough to have visited Marilyn many times this summer, as the result of running errands during her Covid isolation. We shared many great laughs and had some wonderful conversations. I told her she was my last mom and she seemed to like that. On one occasion she called me and asked me to pick her up some "rubbers and wine." I was slightly shocked to hear that request. I asked her, "Marilyn, what's going on at that retirement residence that you need rubbers?" She said, "for when I do my Sudoku puzzles." Clearly she needed erasers, and we had a great laugh about my misunderstanding. I was thankful she could join us for Thanksgiving and Christmas on occasion, and welcomed her joyfulness in being included in celebrations that included her grand daughter Keonna. She was a wonderfully kind and thoughtful woman, and I will miss her. Condolences to her extended family and friends.

Dearest Marilyn, we go back a long time...high school in the Bay and Teacher's college in Chapeau. You were always a breath of fresh air...wherever you were. You were one of the two who could make Sister Rosalie crack a tingling of a smile in high school. You touched many souls throughout your life...Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathy to Kirk, Kim and Greg, her grandchildren as well as everyone in the Keon and MacDonald families.

To the MacDonald Family and Friends, my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Marilyn. She was a fantastic teacher, the students loved her, she was a hard working staff member, going over and above, during her term at St. James School.
She had a twinkle in her eye, and a playful side to her seriousness as a devoted teacher. Marilyn was open and truly cared about others, it was my pleasure to know her, and to work with her on the Parent Council at St. James School.
Peace and God Bless to Family and Friends
