KALAGIAN, Bernice

It is with great sadness and joy that we announce the passing of our dear mother Bernice Kalagian on August 31, 2020 at the age 87 in her home surrounded by her loving children. Beloved wife of the late Nick (1997), loving mother of Nicki and Ted Sider (both deceased), Mary Anne and Bob Jablonski, Diana and Dan Creamer, Gary and Debbie Kalagian, baby Joseph (deceased) and Trish and Mel Jones. Cherished Grandmother to 13 wonderful Grandchildren Jeremy, Amy, Krystin, Sarah, Jennifer, Daniel, Ashley, Meghan, Allyssa, Kailyn, Mackenzie, Colton and Keri Lynn and 14 Great Grandchildren Camryn, Morgan, Hannah, Kaden, Taiya, Austyn, Hunter, Connor, Brennan, Eve, Tessa, Paisley, Avery and Evelyn. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Bernice is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anne Labinsky and her 4 younger siblings, Roy, Pat, Gary and Marjorie.

A special thank you to our honorary sister Richelle Leahy for all the love and care she gave to mom over the years.

Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 with Vigil Prayers being held at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11 am. Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital and Hospice Niagara in Bernice’s name.

As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation and funeral attendance is limited to 30% building capacity. Cemetery attendance is limited to 100 guests. All guests attending the visitation or funeral must bring a mask.
