Obituary of Bernard Augustin Gauvreau

Gauveau, Bernard (Feb.20 1934-Aug.19 2020)

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Bernard on August 19, 2020 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Lina (2017). Devoted father to Maria (Archie), Ron (Carol), Victoria, Sheron, and Laurie Anne (James). Caring grandfather to Kelly, Alan, Jasmine, Jessica, Blake, Grant, Dalton, Amanda and Ryan. Proud great grandfather to 22.

Predeceased by his mother, Argentine and his father, Lorenzo. He will be sadly missed by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at George Darte Funeral Home on Monday August 24 2020 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM

A funeral mass will be held for Bernard at Immaculate Conception on Tuesday August 25 2020 at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the George Darte Funeral Home 585 Carlton Street St. Catharines. If wished, donations in memory of Bernard may be made out to The St. Vincent de Paul Society.

As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation attendance is limited to 30% building capacity. Funeral attendance is limited to 50 attendees. Attendance will be monitored to maintain capacity and physical distancing for the health and safety of our staff and guests. All guests attending the visitation or funeral MUST wear a  mask.
