I am very saddened and shocked to hear of Mark’s passing. We had known each other since high school working at Tim Hortons and had stayed in touch throughout the years. He was always a good friend and would do anything for anyone. My condolences go out to the family, his wife and his children. I’ll miss you terribly my friend.

Mark was one of the folks from Eastern Canada that shared our home in Edmonton while working in the oil patch. He was a delight as as a roommate...a solid family man and a great communicator!! We really enjoyed his frequent visits and he became like a
part of our family. We are very sad he left us too soon and hope that Rebecca and family can find respite in the memories they shared with this dear man.
With respect......Carol and David in Edmonton.

This is such incredibly sad news,
I knew Mark from working with him at Syncrude Aurora site. He was always friendly & helpful in any capacity.
Being new to Aurora site, I quickly became friends with him, and he immediately became one of my "go to guys" for solving any problem. I found that he would always drop anything he was doing, and quickly find me to assist me in a task that I was dealing with, and always with a huge smile and a great attitude
We will all miss him immensely,
Our hearts go out to his family & friends at this sad time.
Rest in Peace, Mark

And we shall not look upon his light again"

Oh my where to start? What a hard worker and such a vivant personality exhibited in Mark that it only took once in his presence to remember him forever. He always had a huge smile and such a pleasure to be around. May you rest in peace my friend and you will always a part of my experience working in Aurora. Elwin Stacey
