Peter Mancini

Obituary of Peter Anthony Mancini

MANCINI, Peter

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the age of 59. He leaves behind his loving children Julia, Daniel, Lisa, Alexandra, his parents Donato and Adele, his siblings Rino (Nicola) and Dino, his nephews Christopher, Anthony and Paul. He will also be missed by his fur grandbabies Stitch, Charlie and Daisy. Predeceased by his nephew Matthew “Matteo”.

Pete decided to open up a pizzeria called Pete’s Pizza on Ontario St. in 1984 and grew it into a franchise over the past 36 years. He also worked for Port Weller Dry Docks in the early 80’s. Pete was known for his hands of gold due to the love of working with his hands, whether it was doing construction or just tinkering around, he could fix just about anything. He had a huge love for his family, his children were his life.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the St. Catharines General ICU, CCU and Dialysis Unit, the Nurses and PSW’s at CBI and BAYSHORE as well as the Nurses from Care Partners for all their care and compassion over the years. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, August 4 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, August 5 2020 at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Canadian Kidney Foundation or the St. Catharines Dialysis Unit.

As per the Province of Ontario Covid-19 regulations - visitation and funeral attendance is limited to 30% building capacity. Cemetery attendance is limited to 100 guests. All guests attending the visitation or funeral must bring a mask.

Dear Loving Father, Our Lord,

We pray this morning for Pete to ease his transition from this world to Eternal Life. May he find light that guides him his way into the warm embrace of Jesus’ arms. May we always remember his special smile and his caring heart. No matter what, we will Always remember you Peter because their will never be another one to replace you in our hearts and the love we will always have for you. Whether you are our Father, Son, Brother, or Uncle. Today God bless our Family with Peace and Love. I ask you God to surround us with Angels to protect us. And may today give us some comfort and relief that Peter is with you and some of our loved ones that Have already returned to you. The pain we all feel in losing Peter will never go away, but knowing he is with us in spirit within our Hearts will help us through this difficult time. Remembering all the beautiful memories of Peter is Something Peter would love us to remember, not the sad, suffering times. So Lord Jesus, we ask you to take care of Peter until we are all able to meet again in that happy place we call HEAVEN.

In the name of the Lord

AMEN
