Obituary of Mary Irene Harris

HARRIS, Mary Irene Rose (nee Gregovski)After a brief illness, Mary passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Thursday December 23, 2010 at 77 years of age.Best friend and wife of Tim (2004), devoted and loving mother to Michael (Susan); Marianne (Edward Keyes); Susan (Mark Scheerle); Joe (Joyce); Peter (Kelly) and Matthew (Shawna).Adored Grandmother of Sarah, Lauren, Emily, Samantha, Luke, Jonathon, Jessica, Caleb, Amelia, Joshua, Jacob, Alyssa, Ashley and Shelby.Fondly remembered by her brothers Gary and Jimmy, sisters Betty Smythe and Pearl Roscoe and sisters-in-law Sya, Tena, Pat, Sandra, Marion Webber, Betty Harris and numerous nieces and nephews of the Gregovski and Harris families.Mary is predeceased by her brothers Stephen, John, and Daniel.Life member of the Catholic Women†™s League and long time parishioner of St. Martin of Tours Church, Mississauga and St. Julia†™s Church, St. Catharines.The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion. A special thank you to the Carmelite Sisters, Father Montague, the nurses, staff and residents of Mount Carmel for their care, dedication, love and support.Mary is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. Visiting hours are Tuesday December 28, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private funeral liturgy and reception will be held at Mount Carmel Seniors Residence for the immediate family and residents of Mount Carmel on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. A public funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Julia†™s Church on Wednesday December 29, 2010 at 2:00pm.
