I don’t want to remember you,
At the end of your days.
I want to think of you,
When you lived life your way.
I can’t imagine you,
Enduring such pain.
I want to remember you,
Dancing again.
You stood your ground.
You found your place.
You loved your life.
You made your peace.
We love you still.
We can’t replace.
We hope you’ll rest easy,
With Old What’s His Face.
I don’t want to remember you,
Frightened and alone.
I want to think of you,
At home with the radio on.
