Greta Eleanor "Nan" Warren

Obituary of Greta Eleanor "Nan" Warren

It saddens us to announce that on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 Greta's beautiful heart took its last beat. Greta left us peacefully, of natural causes.

Born on April 12th, 1934 in Middle Musquodobit, Nova Scotia. She worked as a maternity nurse in Halifax until she relocated to Ontario and made raising her family her main priority.

Greta had an immense passion for living life with her family. As great of a listener as she was, she didn't want to sit around and hear stories, she wanted to be a part of them. Greta truly was a part of everything. She also had a heart of gold. She kept an open mind, heart and an open door policy. Everyone was always welcome, her only request might be that you brought her a French Vanilla Cappuccino. If you had the pleasure of meeting her and getting to know her, she never forgot you or anything you spoke of. She always made sure to call which ever family member she met you through and let us know she talked to you. If it took 6 months before you'd seen her again she could still recall your last conversation and carry on from where you left off. This is because you weren't just another face, Greta truly cared for everyone who took the time to talk to her.

Greta's other passion in life was her animals. Whether it be taking in other peoples cats, feeding the neighbourhood strays, or making charitable donations, she genuinely cared for the well being of animals. When she wasn't out and about visiting, she immersed herself in wildlife shows.

Greta was predeceased by her husband Max, her sons Steven and Robert, daughter in law Elaine and great granddaughter Victoria. She is survived by her children Brenda (Stephen), Scott (Sharon) her grandchildren Trevor (Samantha), Sean, Jason (Melissa), Jenna (Chris), Paul, Adam (Hannah), Lindsay, Kelly (Mikey), Miranda, and her great grandchildren Madison, Chloe, Alyssa, Hailey, Kinsley, Claire, Melody, Avary and Penelope.
