Obituary of Brigitte Bolli

On May 3rd, a very beloved member of our family, Brigitte Bolli passed away at the age of 84. Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Brigitte’s adventurous spirit took her around the world. Together with her dear husband Peter, they lived in Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand and Canada (including St. John’s, Winnipeg, and St. Catharines). She is survived by her husband Peter Bolli, son Marc Bolli (Amanda), sister Fränzi Bertram and was predeceased by her parents (Franz and Mindy Bertram) and her sister Sylvie Bürgi (Paul). She had a wide circle of caring neighbours and friends in St. Catharines and beyond, and was so appreciative of their friendship and support. She was especially grateful for the support and help of the Angarans and the Sarkis during her recent illness. Always one to welcome a good chat with friends, Brigitte had a natural gift for languages and when in New Zealand worked as a medical translator for patients in French Polynesia. She loved dogs, and always had fuzzy companions by her side; walking her last beloved poodle Lulu through St. Catharines parks always brought her happiness. She preferred her cars to be turbocharged and the QEW highway will be a little quieter without her authoritative rally-car driving style. We miss her dearly, and will always remember her for the strongly independent woman she was. As per Brigitte’s wishes her cremation has taken place and no flowers or donations are requested.
