Hello, I am sorry for the loss of Mrs. Breen. I am wondering if this is the same Mrs. Breen who taught me grade 1 at St. Gabriel Lalemont School...in 1968. If it is, she was a wonderful teacher. Please contact me at deedeeteapot@hotmail.com. God Bless.

Emma was our good neighbour ever since we moved here, more than 30 years ago. We miss seeing her on her front porch as the sun swings around in the afternoon. In conversation she was always full of smiles, chuckles and stories. Emma was very proud of her family and relatives. Sometimes, one of our boys would mow her lawn or trim. She always appreciated their work. Sincere condolences.

I remember when I was young, Emma used to make bread at night. As she was mixing the flour she would let me stand on the chair or sit on the kitchen table so I could watch her and be close to her. She used to call me her baby.
Mona, Carmel, Gisele....sending you my deepest sympathy and love. To the rest of my family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Lillian Poirier

My deepest condolences to Emma's family. I had the privilege of taking communion to her home for several years, got to know her joy and love for her family...she was so proud of you all. She would show me pictures too of distant relatives in New Brunswick. She was deeply saddened when the last one passed away...two years ago? As her memory faded she had difficulty during our visits...sadly the last time I tried to see her she did not recognize me and would not let me in. Rest in Peace, Emme, and again, my condolences to her family who looked after her so well.
Deacon Frank Pavone, St. Alfred Church.

As a kid we would always go visit grandma and one thing that was a tradition was baking chocolate chip cookies. My siblings and I loved the cookies, (we don't know what she did but man were they the best). Our favourite part of baking was eating the raw cookie dough, grandma didn't like us eating the dough so we would sneak around and when she wants looking we'd take a small scoop so she wouldn't notice. We thought we were so sneaky, she probably knew what we were doing.

On one of my last visits with mom she was calling to her last sister Lydia to come and take her and come and sleep with her, all in french of course, because that's who she slept with as a child. Well I think mom and Aunt Lydia had a sleepover last night. Sleep well mom, love you.
