I was very saddened to hear of Theresa‘s passing. We work together for eight years at star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church to make a liturgical celebrations true praise to God. No one knew how to put the flowers together in the ways that Theresa did. I think God for having known her and worked with her. Father Peter Walton

My sympathies to you, Gunther and your family during this time of sadness. Theresa is a dedicated servant of God who loved her family and her church. I have fond memories of working with Theresa at Star of Sea Parish. She was always gracious with a wonderful smile. May she be welcomed by the saints and angel into the eternal joy of God's Kingdom.

With indescribable sadness, Gunther, Lisa, Darren, and all in your families, I learned of the going from our midst of your beloved Theresa. To say that she made a difference in my life would be an understatement. I am absolutely heartbroken to hear this news; to my regret, I really had no comprehension of the extent of her illness (because it had been over a year or more since we last saw each other), and that's why the news hit me all the more. Just on the weekend, I was watching a portion of the video of the dedication of Star of the Sea Church in 1994, at which time Theresa spoke on behalf of the parish C.W.L. She contributed enormously to my life and certainly to the life of her parish, Star of the Sea (not to overlook the League in the parish and in the diocese). We have a wonderful rapport over all things pertaining to parish life; she was a woman of prayer and activity and she did it all with grace and charm. I think of all the times I would come back since leaving the parish in 1994, to visit with her and hear her voice at funerals -- difficult though those experiences were. I recall fondly visiting with her mother Gertrude (and how good Theresa was to her). You three (and her grandchildren) were the "apple of her eye" -- everything I think about concerning Theresa has her alongside each of you all the way. These are only a few of my thoughts, among many, when of think of this wonderful Catholic woman who fulfilled many roles well. I hope I can assist you all in whatever way I can; when the time comes to honour her with the Catholic funeral rites, do let me know if there's anything I can do. I truly wish to honour this woman! (Fr.) Peter Rowe, St. Thomas More, NF

Although you may not know us, we are members of Star of the Sea Parish and always sit behind the choir. But before that, I worked as a Registered Nurse at Hotel Dieu Hospital with Theresa. She was a lovely woman and devoted to her family, her work and to her music. We are so sorry for her loss to her family and to her community.

I had the privilege to know Theresa through our shared love of music. As a pianist, I substituted for her on many occasions at Star of the Sea. I am so saddened by her loss. I will keep her in my prayers. Sincere sympathy.
