FERRANTE, Maria Grazia (nee Fratangelo)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful Maria on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the age of 81. A golden heart stopped beating, her hard-working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. Beloved wife of 61 years to Laurino. Beautiful Mom to Antoinette “Toni” (Fabrizio) Castelli and Erma (Frank) Maselli. Cherished Nonna to Jessica, Elisa, Laura, Michael, Daniel, Nicholas and her great grandpuppies Olive and Honey. She will be dearly missed by her sister Lina, family in Italy, many extended family members and her social friends from the YMCA and Ladies Tuesday Church Bingo.
Every Wednesday was dinner at the Nonnis. She had a very infectious smile that could light up a room. Nonna gave everything to her family even if it meant that she was left with none.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 11 am, due to the Ontario Health concerns, we are limited to 10 attendees for the Funeral Service by order of the Premier. A Private Rite of Committal will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the NHS- St. Catharines Site or Hotel Dieu Shaver or in the form of gloves or masks to the hospitals.
Due to the Ontario Health concerns regarding COVID-19, all gatherings and ceremonies are limited to 10 attendees by order of the Premier; all attendees must be 2 metres apart at all times
