Cathy, I belatedly learned of Brian’s passing. As many have already said, he was a good man and coworker.
He was a good Christian man who had compassion for others and had an excellent work ethic.
He was the warrant officer in the 21 Division Detective office when i also worked there in the 1990’s.
He had a mischievous twinkle in his eye and a good sense of humor that kept us all grounded.
A very good man gone too soon.
May he rest in the arms of Jesus.

I had the good fortune to work with Brian at 21 Division. Brian was such a good man, he made others around him better just by his presence. He had a terrific sense of humour and laugh to go along with it. Through our careers we meet so many people that just drift in and out of our lives without much of a thought. Brian was someone that stayed with me and I thought of more frequently than one would think. When I shared time shares, I thought of Brian. When I saw someone sort of sprawled in an office chair I thought of Brian. He stayed with me because he was such a very good man and person. I am so sorry for your loss, but I am so fortunate to have had Brian in my life. All the best.

Dear Cathy,
I was saddened to read about Brian's untimely death this morning. I remember Brian as a man of gentle nature and good humour who loved his travel. I have fond memories from our days together at Faith Baptist. I'm sorry I will be unable to attend the funeral service as I'm in NZ. Please accept my sincere condolences. I know our Lord will comfort and strengthen you for the days ahead.

Cathy and family - there are no words that can ever express such a great loss that is taken suddenly. I will always be grateful for Brian’s help with my back yard area and we shared one nice conversation about shrubs, trees and our mutual love of travel. He was a gentle man who was a great neighbour.
May all your years of a beautiful life built together bring you comfort during these heartbreaking days.
Your neighbour,
Ruth Kuraitis.

Sorry to learn of Brian’s passing. I remember the McMulkin family from Toulon Road (Scarborough) and the road hockey games with Brian. My brother Glenn and I were neighbours two doors down. I’m sorry we didn’t connect to discuss the old days at Golf Road School and neighborhood.
Condolences to his family.

I rode a bike with you in 4 Traffic my friend. We were kids. We hid from the Sgt's during the cold and wet weather and we rode and laughed like schoolboys in the sunshine and on warm summer days and nights. We have some stories to tell but alas those might be best told to the residents of heaven upon your arrival. I will miss you, blue brother. Hopeful that we will get to meet on the "other side".

I was so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Brian. He was my Coach Officer when I became a new recruit with the Toronto Police Service. He was the most amazing mentor and I owe my success as a police officer to him. We became permanent partners and worked together for over a decade. Those were the best years of my police career. Our friendship and camaraderie extended beyond the workplace and we enjoyed the company of each other’s families over the years. Brian and Cathy were there for me during the most difficult days when I lost both my parents suddenly. I will never forget their kindness and compassion. I extend my deepest sympathy to Cathy and family and will keep all of you in my prayers.

We could never thank Brian enough for all his daily hard work helping with landscaping and planning for our beautiful gardens. Brian's vision for the direction of the board was clear and respectful to the citizens of our precious community. In keeping with his vision, Brian helped me to plan my garden and to maintain its care. Also one must mention that Brian was extremely intelligent as discovered in his conversations. We will truly miss Brian.

To all of Brian’s family and friends, please accept my deepest condolences. I was deeply saddened to learn of Brian’s passing. I had the distinct honour of being one of Brian’s partners when we served as Warrant Officer’s in what is now, the old 21 Division. He was a pleasure to work with. Never did I ever see him rattled while we were arresting some pretty bad characters. He was always so calm and level headed. Pretty well how any of us that worked alongside Brian felt about him. He was a great asset to Toronto Police and everyone should be very proud of him. Sadly, I’m in Florida and will be for another month so I’ll be unable to pay my respects in person. I hope that the beautiful memories you all hold of Brian in your hearts and minds will help you through this tragedy... Rest In Peace My Good Friend...
Dave Brown, 3080, 21 Division, Retired.

I remember Brian most, when i moved to Willowdale in Sept '75, to start nursing school , and he was already a Toronto Police Constable. He invited me to dinner at The Police Club. I ordered fish and it came as a whole fish, including the head! I was so grossed out and said to my cousin, "I cant eat this fish with its eyes staring at me!" .Brian got them to cut the head off and we enjoyed a lovely dinner together!
