Molly Forde (nee Granger)

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Molly Forde (Mom) on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the age of 74. After a long courageous battle with cancer she is now resting peacefully. She passed at home surrounded by her loving family. Survived by her husband Vincent. She was the beloved mother of Kerry (Eden), Richard (Anna Kay), Tony (Elena), Lisa (Devere), the late Dwayne (Rosanne) and Kathy Granger. Loving Granny of Dillon, Dominique, Kegon, Cyrilianna, Kermesha, T.J., Jordan, Alicia, Delisa, Tevin, DeShaun, DeOndre, Rhianna. Great-grandmother of Gabriella and Messiah.

Born in Trinidad, Mom lived in Cambridge and St. Catharines after immigrating to Canada in 1970. Mom has touched the hearts of everyone that surrounded her and made them feel like family. The doors to her home were open to all. She will be greatly missed by those blessed enough to have known her.

We would like to thank all the people that were part of Molly’s community support system for the ongoing care and dedication.

Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. Church service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Central Community Church, 240 Scott St., St. Catharines at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. All are welcome to a Celebration of Life Ceremony to be held at the Armenian Community Centre, 156 Martindale Rd., St. Catharines at 4 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation -Niagara Chapter.
