Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Greves
GREVES, Elizabeth Ann “Liz” (Culp), - At the Niagara Health Centre, St. Catharines Site, on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at age 79. Cherished wife of the late George Greves, together in love for over 50 years. Dear mother of Jamie (Sally) and Jennifer (Gary); adored grandmother of Alyssa (Alain), Andrew (Victoria), and Sarah. Remembered fondly by her stepchildren, Rob (Joanne), Tim (Dana), Ted (Carol), and their families. Survived by her sister in law Babs.
Liz was born on May 2, 1940 in St. Catharines, ON, to parents Edith and Elton Culp. She met her husband and soulmate, George, while working for General Motors in the mid 1960s. Together they raised their children in St. Catharines until retiring to their dream home near Parry Sound, ON. Over twenty years later Liz and George returned to Niagara to be closer to family.
Liz was an indomitable force who lived life to the fullest. She loved the home that she and George built on the lake in Parry Sound. Her favourite memories were of hosting family and friends there and enjoying countless hours of fun while laughing, swimming, boating, skating, and snowmobiling. Liz had a wicked sense of humour, a nurturing touch, and a strength of spirit unlike any. She will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
The Greves’ would like to thank the kind staff of the Oncology Unit and Dr. Linda M. Lee, NHSCS, for their exceptional care and support. Donations to the Niagara Health Foundation, Walker Family Cancer Centre, are appreciated by the family and can be done through George Darte Funeral Home, St. Catharines, ON.
