Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Chartwell Niagara Nursing Home in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her devoted husband, James (2000), her loving daughter, Paula Ward (2012), her loving son, Robert (2019). Beloved mother of David (Janis), Mary (Wayne) Makinson, John (Ruth), Cheryl (Paul) Healy, Mark (Sandy), Jimmy (Ginette), Tommy (Brenda), Laurie (Jeff) Nichols, Stephen (Anna), Karen (Carlo) Venditti; loved mother-in-law of Tom Ward.
Precious grandmother of Sherri (Max), Emily (Jack), Kathleen (Rocky), Andrew (Jeanette), Krista, Ryan (Roseanne), Sean, Zach (Rosalinda), Jeremy (Christina), Rhiannon (Michael), Michael (Candice), Sarah (Marty), Caitlin (Craig), Jennifer, Stephanie (BJ), Scotty (Jasmine), TJ (Jem), Meaghan (Kit), Kaley, Joshua, Matthew (Susan), Mark (Talli), Courtney, Faith, Derek (Stephanie), Ashley (Dean), Trevor (Brittany), Jeff (Stephanie), James, Alex, Brandon, Jessica, Cody, Aaron, Samantha (Frank), Adam. Special great-grandmother of 37.
Mom was an unbelievable cook and her recipes will live on with her family.
Thank you to the wonderful 2nd floor staff at Chartwell who were so caring and kind to our mother and grandmother.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Friday, November 1 at 11 a.m. A private interment will take place at a later date. If so desired, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (St. Alfred Church) would be appreciated by the family.
