Obituary of Gordon Allen Crompton

CROMPTON, Gordon Allen- With sadness we announce the passing of Gordon A. Crompton on October 22nd, 2019 at the age of 91, at St. Catharines Hospital. He will be dearly missed by Marion, his beloved wife of 67 years, son Bob (Nancy) of St. Catharines, daughter Nancy (Greg) of New Westminster, BC grandson Matthew(Lisa) and granddaughter Allison and great - grandchildren Cadence, Delila and Bryce. Predeceased by son William (1997) and brother Louis (2009). Gordon was employed as an accountant in the Great Lakes shipping industry for 35 years. He had a great love of traditional jazz and a well played record collection to go along with it. After retiring he enjoyed daily drives along the canal to see the boats, woodworking and listening to his favorite jazzman Louie Armstrong. In accordance with Gordon's wishes, cremation will take place. Visitation at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, October 27th from 2-4p.m. & 6:30 -8:30p.m. Celebration of Life to take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
