Obituary of Pearl Stepien
Pearl (nee Baraniuk) Stepien
Born in Mountain Road, Manitoba on November 3rd, 1920. Pearl passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21st, 2019 at Pioneer Elder Care in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband of 54 years Ben (2005) and her son Jim (2015). Much loved mother of Robert, Donald (Janice) and Michael (Mary- Lou). Loving grandmother of Tara, Kelly (Sam), Michael (Alicia), Darryl (Jennifer), Carrie-Ann, Julie, Allison and Graham. Great grandmother of Connor, Griffin, Lily, Grace, Isaiah, Owen and Declan. Pearl leaves behind her sisters Irene Sulymka and Carol Schettler; Brother-in- laws Chester (Eleanor) Stepien; Lawrence Stacey; sister -in- laws Mary Stepien and Kay Hatch. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews from both Stepien and Baraniuk families. Predeceased by her brothers John, Bill, Andrew, Walter, Roy and Leo and her sisters Mary, Olga, Tillie and Julie. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the exemplary and overwhelming compassion provided by the wonderful team at Pioneer Elder Care. The family will recieve visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, October 30th from 10a.m.-11a.m. A Celebration of Pearl's Life will follow at 11a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
