Obituary of Marlene Anne Dunnett

DUNNETT, Marlene Anne (nee Collini) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marlene on September 25, 2019 at the age of 83. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and her granddaughter, Laura who was the light of her life. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald Clarke Dunnett (December 29, 2018). She is survived by her dear sister, Carolyn Peroceschi and sister-in-law Helen Cleal. Favourite Auntie of Susan VanZeist and her sons, Nicolas and Michael. She is predeceased by her dear brother-in-law, Angelo Peroceschi and sister-in-law Willa Cress. Marlene was an avid gardener, a skillful baker, cook and seamstress and the loving center of her family. She was a kind and gentle woman – a wonderful sister, devoted wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt and a cherished friend and neighbor. She will be deeply missed. A special thank you to the amazing third floor staff and Dr. Brunner at Chateau Gardens in Niagara-on-the-Lake where Marlene spent the past 20 months. “The answers quick and keen, the honest look, the laughter, the love – they are gone. Gone to feed the roses. Elegant and curled is the blossom. Fragrant is the blossom. I know. But I do not approve. More precious was the light in your eyes than all the roses in the world.”–ESVM 

In accordance with Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
