ATKINSON, Warren

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 67 years to Annetta. Loving father of Dan and Bruce (Patti). Proud grandpa to Drew, Josh, Ben and Hannah. Much loved brother to Betty Lou (the late Joe) McNulty. Also remembered by nieces, nephews, members of the McNulty and Anderson families, including cousin Doreen (the late John) Leish and family.

Warren retired from the St. Lawrence Seaway, where he worked as the Electrical Superintendent. He enjoyed over thirty years of retirement, spending that time with his family, attending his grandchildren's sporting and school events, fishing, and volunteering his time at the St. Catharines Rowing Club. Warren was a member of both the St. Catharines Rowing Club Alumni Association and the Old Boys Lacrosse Association.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Niagara Health System - St. Catharines, especially Dr. Lorraine Jensen and nurse Michelle for their care and compassion.

Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, September 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Catharines Rowing Club.
