BLACKWOOD, Erin Elizabeth

After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Erin passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the age of 47. Beloved wife of Marty Vitale for 25 years. Proud mom of Catherine Worth (Daniel). Loving nana to Lily Barton. Cherished daughter of Bill and Violet Blackwood. Dear sister of Brook (Rochelle) and Caroline. Erin will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Canada, U.S., and in the UK.

Erin had a passion for travelling, shopping and ancestry research. She was a financial advisor at Scotiabank in the Niagara Region for numerous years. Many thanks to the Oncology & ICU departments at Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, August 7 from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Erin's life will be held on Thursday, August 8 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home ceremony room. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Juravinski Cancer Centre.
