Obituary of Barbara Mayer

MAYER, Isobel Barbara (nee Dusome)

January 5, 1938 - July 18, 2019

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Barb was sick the last two years, suffering from lung disease. Loving mother of nine: Don Mayer (Janet), Charlene Pearson (Alan), Rick Mayer, Tim Mayer, Randy Mayer, Michael Mayer, Gilbert Fraser (Tammy) and Colleen Mayer (Mike). Predeceased by son Kevin Mayer (2011). Survived by seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her grandsons Derek Deline (2008) and Daryl Mayer (2015), her brothers John, Norman, Charles and by her parents, Isobel and Levi Dusome. She will be truly missed by her loving dog Charlie and longtime family friend John. Barb spent her lifetime being a mother, which she truly loved.

Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, July 23 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service for Barbara will follow in the funeral home ceremony room at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Pathstone Mental Health.
