DIDONE, Frances (nee Bower)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the age of 86. She is now reunited with her husband of 62 years, Joseph. Beloved mother of Anna (Colin) Morrison, Angela (Neil) Duerksen and Christine (Mark) Sotola. Cherished granny to Brett (Kaitlyn), Leslie (Tyler), Christine (Steven), Rebecca (Tony), Joshua (Jordana), Adam (Tanya), Eric (Maryann), Matthew (Linda), Alexandra (Mitchell), and Gabrielle. Great grandmother to Hayden, Claire, Julius and Malcolm. Dear sister of Vera Leblanc. Predeceased by her siblings Edward, Chuck, Les, Eileen, Victor and Vivian.
Frances worked at Thompson Products (TRW) where she met her husband. After marrying Joseph in 1955, she settled into her role as a loving wife and mother. Mom loved her grandkids with a passion. She enjoyed knitting, bingo, reading and cooking. Her specialty dishes are already missed. Frances will be remembered for her feisty demeanor, her wit, and for her love of family.

Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, July 12 from 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
