Obituary of Patricia Schmahl

SCHMAHL, Patricia

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital. Beloved wife of Weldon “Del” for 57 years. Loving Mother to Darren (Lori), Michael (Kimberley) and Patricia (Chris) Beu. Cherished Grandmum to Alex, Daniel, Keaton, Mackenzie, William, Lucas, Emmersen and Clare. She will be dearly missed by her sister Nancy (Tom) Worthing.

Patricia touched the lives of many parishioners at St. Julia Parish where she was the secretary for 27 years. She was actively involved and past president of the Catholic Women’s League and was a long-time member of the Laurier Liberal Ladies. Her main joy was her family, always putting them first and loving them with all her heart. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A special thanks to Jim and Leila Henderson, Sister Louise, Msgr. Pizzacalla and Fr. Greg Schmidt for all their compassion and prayers. In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at ST. JULIA ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 251 Glenridge Ave, St. Catharines, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. with Mass being held at 12 p.m. Inurnment will follow Mass at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, 7489 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls.
