"Only the good die young" Alan was really good. Incredible dry sense of humor. Best ship mate a crew could ask for. Sad day for all. Condolence to all family members we share your loss.

Our sympathies to the Jackson family.
We'll miss Al on Guildwood Drive, he always had a joke for the neighbours and time for his wonderful grand kids.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Al.....I thought alot of the man and we certainly had alot of laughs together. He was the person who inspired me to work in the engine room on these Great lakes...i remember all the stories he told me of growing up in the coal mines of his home...he loved to laugh and i think thats what i will remember once. To Mrs Jackson, Pete and your brother...my heartfelt condolences for your loss. God bless you all..and God bless Action Jackson...I"ll be thinking of you today.

We are both so very sorry for your loss. We both worked with Alan over the years with Upper Lakes, and he always had something "whitty" to say. May your healing be swift, and with fond memories.

Dear Lily, Chris, Pete & families.
Words alone can not express our sadness in hearing of Alan's death.
We can only hope that in someway and in the days to follow that all of the great times and beautiful memories that you shared with your Husband / Dad and Grandad will somehow comfort you and put a smile back in your heart when you think of those times.
He will be forever missed in the lives of his family and people who knew him.
Our deepest sympathy and love are with all of you at this time.
