Obituary of Julia Jean Pilkington

PILKINGTON, Julia - Passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, March 11th, 2019 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 83. Beloved wife of George for 63 years. Cherished mother of Ann (Grant) Rush and Cyril Pilkington. Loving Grandma of Nathan (Susan), Chloe, Sean and Andrew. She is survived by her brother Terry Harwood. Julia was an avid runner, Championship Curler, golfer and served as a long time member of the United Church. She was an active member of Scouts Canada. Julia was lovingly cared for at home by her husband, George during her long journey with dementia. A sincere thank you to her devoted PSW's, Diane and Lisa, as well as her Respite worker Margaret, for all of their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. As per Julia's wishes, there will be a private family gathering at a later date. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
