Obituary of Marilyn Joan D'Amico
D'Amico, Marilyn
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn at the Henley House on March 7, 2019 at the age of 80. She will now be reunited with her husband Frank of 55 years (October 5, 2018). Marilyn will be missed by her daughter Tammy (Steve) and son Vince (Laura). Proud grandmother of Alex, Sarah and Alanna Cutting. Survived by her sister Sharon Darlow, cousin Margaret Dawes, sister and brother in laws Rose, Mike, and Pauline (Jack).
Marilyn enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: going for a drive, lunch at a diner...or drive thru, pasta, shopping for her grandchildren, coffee/card parties, the casino, camping, watching sports, Judge Judy, painting class, time spent at home and with family in Cohocton, NY.
She was tenacious, independent, calm, and had a positive outlook even in the most difficult of times. We are left with memories of her quick wit, sense of humor and collection of musical decorations for every occasion.
Thank you to Lancaster Staff for the care and compassion shown to Mom and Dad throughout the past year. In keeping with Marilyn's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private family Celebration of Life. Arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME (905) 937-4444. If desired, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Henley House Hair Salon Wheelchair Accessible Sink Project through the funeral Home or the family.
“Bye for now.”
