BECKETT, Helen “Bucky” (nee Romanek)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Roger. Mother of the late Victoria, the late Sandra, Judith, and Carl (Sue). Bucky of 4 grandchildren Adam, Gareth, Thomas (Celia) and Sandra (Adam). Sister of the late Ed, the late Bruce and Frank (Wenda). She will be dearly missed by her nieces and extended family members. Helen enjoyed having her garage sales on Geneva St. and was most famously known by her homemade perogies, cabbage rolls and canned peaches. She also loved dancing with Roger and painting the town red with her grandchildren. Helen sold Real Estate for many years proudly serving the Polish Community of St. Catharines. Her warm smile and infectious laughter will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Linhaven for all their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 12-1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life following visitation at 1 p.m. A private family Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linhaven.
