Obituary of Matilda Holody
Peacefully on Dec 26,2018 at the age of 92, loving wife of Edward Holody for 71 years. Predeceased by her beloved daughter Sharon Grover (1997). Dear Mother of (Wendall) Jim Holody (Sydney) and cherished grandmother to Teresa Grover-Kelley (Michael), Martin Grover (Barbara) and Robert Holody. She is survived by her devoted niece Louise Bartok (Art Becevel), her son-in-law Ken Grover and will be forever missed by great-grandchildren Lauren Kelley and Emily Grover. Predeceased by her brothers Alex Bartok (Barbara) and Leslie Bartok, and sisters Esther and Mary Bartok. Matilda will be deeply missed by her friends in Welland where she lived and worked in real estate for many years.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at her home church where she was a long time CWL member, St Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines, L2M 4T3, on Saturday December 29th at 12 noon followed by the funeral mass at 1.00pm. Donations to the Alzheimers Society of Niagara would be appreciated. A celebration of Matilda’s life and internment will take place at a future date.
