Dear Gwynneth, We were so sad to hear about your mom. We have such special memories of her when we lived in her basement apartment. She always made us feel welcome and was so pleasant. I especially enjoyed our visits over tea. I wish we could have spent more time with her. I always will cherish how kind you and your mom were to me when my dad went home to be with the Lord. Take good care. Our very best to you, Brian and your families. Love, Noel

Brian & Gweyneth, I am from Hantsport and met your mom when a teacher(I think) at Hansport school. But I was very involved at the United church with Elwood MacPherson and his 1st wife. Was pleased for your mom for the years they shared together. I am wondering if you have kept in touch with Sandy & Heather MacPherson, I hadn't realised how long ago Elwoood had passed, if so please send contact info would be appreciated, thank you. I met Heather at camp prior to meeting Sandy we lost touch when Heather used to came down to spend time with your Mom I think she was living in St. Croix or Windsor way. Sorry for your loss may all your memories she left you with carry you forward. With prayers, Faye M. Hill

Hello Brian and Gwyneth,
I read with a sense of loss your mother's obituary in the Halifax Chronicle Herald today. I had lost contact with Margaret too many years ago, and with the two of you for about as long. I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you at this time as you struggle to accept her loss. Although she lived a very long and full life, it is probably still difficult for you to accept her loss. She set a very good example of the right kind of acceptance after your father died, and I imagine she did so again more recently when Elwood died. May that example help you during this time as you attempt to accept the fact that she is no longer with you.
I would also remind you that our faith assures us that, although relationships end with death, life goes on for the person who has died in a more beautiful way than we can imagine. Perhaps that change has been a welcome change both for you and for her. It has been my personal experience that when a loved one has died it is helpful in accepting that loss to concentrate on the blessing of having had that relationship, rather than on no longer having that relationship. May it be so for you.
