GALLOWAY, Kathleen (née Bell)
At Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care in Shelburne, Ontario on November 3, 2018 in her 88th year. Loving wife of Don (d. 1992). Devoted mother to Dawn (John) Penner, Pauline (Mark) Holman and William (Maria). Dear grandmother to Brian, Becky (Trevor), Emily (Julian), Colin, Iain, Andrew, Mire, Luke and Alex and step-granddaughter Nowaier. Great-grandmother to Xander. Survived by siblings Willy (Jean), Barbara (d. Frank), Grace (d. Peter), Sandy (Elizabeth), Maurice, Dorothy, Rosemary (d. David) and in-laws Ray (Kathleen), Joyce and Nancy. Predeceased by brothers Samuel and Archie and sister-in-law Sadie. Kathleen will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends in both Canada and her native Northern Ireland.
Kathleen worked for many years at Victoria School in St. Catharines and was active as a member of the Bruce Trail Club and played badminton regularly into her 86th year.
Family and friends are welcomed to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines for visitation on Wednesday November 7, 2018 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. A Celebration of Kathleen’s Life will take place at the funeral home on Thursday November 8, 2018 at 11 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of the Niagara Region.
