I had a cold most of last week here in Toronto and was thinking of all of you attending Aunt Lil's memorial service!
Sorry to hear of her passing - I know she's had a rough time the past couple of years, she did mean a lot to me as someone I remember who always had a genuinely hearty laugh and appreciation for her family - all her nieces and nephews and making each one of us feel special.
Among other things it was Lil' who played us a Johnny Cash record that included A Boy named Sue(I think it was Folsom Prison!) when we made the rounds to visit one Sunday after church as children. It is one of my early memories and it sounded great too, inspiring to a budding musician!
I hope she's in a better place, best to everyone.
best xo

As a child I would always look forward to Aunt Lil coming to Springfield for a visit. She always made the best birthday cakes. When my parents divorced and moved to Canada my new school St. James was right next store to aunt Lil's apartment so a daily visit was very common. One of the most warmest and kindest, humble persons I have known in my life and my wife Milena can vouche for that. When we spoke she always asked first how she was doing. Enjoy your new journey to eternal happiness. Lots of love.

Was glad that me & Shannon got a chance to see her over the Christmas holidays. Her soul is finally free from the chains of her ailing body. Wish I could be with the D'Amico family for the services. I remember fondly all the times I spent over her house in the 70's and 80's when she and Aunt Fil lived together. She never forgot a birthday and always sent me cards in California. She would watch my tv shows religiously even though she had no idea what the heck we were talking about. :) I love you Aunt Lil!! Thank-you for the love you brought into our lives.

We were all very saddened to hear of Lil's passing exactly 3 weeks from the day that our mother/grandmother and one of Lil's best friends left us. We like to think that now they wont be just calling each other to remind the other that the Blue Jays game is on.....they will finally be able to watch it together!
