Obituary of Robert James Murphy

MURPHY, Robert James
 
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert on Tuesday October 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by the love of his life Kristine in 2017. Cherished and devoted father to Kyle and Danielle. Robert will be forever missed by his parents Margaret and Robert, sisters Jackie (Dave) Lamothe, Carol (Tom) Wall and Margaret Murphy. Robert's memory will live on through his friends, extended family in Canada, USA and his native Scotland, work colleagues, and all others lucky enough to have known him. 
 
Robert was proud to be a Union Representative and Vice President of UFCW Local 1006A. When he wasn't working, he could be found on his boat fishing, riding his motorcycle or hiking; some of his favorite things. 
 
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 20, 2018 in Robert's memory. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
