It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Amerizia on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 91. Beloved Wife of the late Vito (1989). Loving Mamma to Gabriella (Benito) Marcella, Antonietta (Attilio) Marcella and Tina (Natale) Ditto. Cherished Nonna to Teresa (Theo), Rocky (Kathy), Claudia (Claudio), Vito (Kelly), Miriana (Leo), Christopher (Marissa) and Giancarlo (Chelsea) and Bisnonna to Maya, Taya, Matteo, Nate, Luca, Isabella, Gabby, Sophia, Melania, Michael, Alessia and Camila. Sister to the late Cesira (the late Emilio), the late Antonietta (the late Ottavio), the late Fiorindo (Gilda), Gabrielle (Pia) and Corrado (Yola). She will be greatly missed by her extended family members and friends.

A special thank you to Amerizia’s PSW Clelia for her care and compassion throughout the years. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers being held at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy 20, Fonthill. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
