Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Frederick (Al) Aikman. Loving mother of Roger (Sheila) Benger and Chris (Julian) Butyniec. Cherished grandmother to Ian (Lisa) Benger, Blain Butyniec, Ryan (Laura) Butyniec. Great-grandmother of Jack Benger, Ilko, Oscar and Finn Butyniec. In keeping with Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
